Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Prodlake Production Experience Platform ("Platform"), operated by Prodlake Technologies, Inc. ("Prodlake"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Platform

Prodlake is a Production Experience Platform where instructors publish video-based production engineering experiences and learners pay to access them. Instructors may also use AI Studio to generate teaching assets (investigation timelines, terminal replays, architecture walkthroughs, root cause analysis diagrams) as supplementary tools for their content creation process.

2. Account Types

Instructors upload and publish production engineering experiences. They retain ownership of their content and receive 70% of revenue generated from learner purchases of their experiences.

Learners purchase access to published experiences. Purchased content remains accessible as long as the experience is available on the Platform.

3. Instructor Responsibilities

As an instructor, you agree to:

4. Revenue and Payouts

Prodlake operates a 70/30 revenue split: instructors receive 70% of net revenue from each learner purchase of their experience. Payouts are processed monthly via Stripe Connect. Minimum payout threshold is $50. Prodlake retains 30% as a platform fee covering hosting, delivery, payment processing, and platform operations.

5. AI Studio

AI Studio is a paid tool that generates teaching assets (safe production environment representations) from instructor descriptions. AI Studio output is a creation tool — instructors use it as a backdrop or supplement for their video content. Prodlake does not claim ownership of AI Studio outputs. The instructor is responsible for reviewing generated assets for accuracy before publishing.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all intellectual property rights to content you upload. By publishing on Prodlake, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, deliver, and display your content to paying learners.

Platform content: The Prodlake platform, brand, design, and proprietary technology are owned by Prodlake Technologies, Inc.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not:

8. Content Removal

Prodlake reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Content Policy. Instructors will be notified before removal except in cases involving security risks (exposed credentials, customer data). Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

9. Limitation of Liability

Prodlake provides the Platform "as is." We are not liable for losses resulting from content accuracy, service interruptions, or third-party actions. Our total liability is limited to fees you have paid to Prodlake in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Instructors who close their accounts may withdraw published content; existing learner access to previously purchased experiences will continue until expiration. Prodlake may terminate accounts that violate these Terms with 30 days notice, or immediately for security violations.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under AAA rules, except for injunctive relief claims.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms with 30 days email notice to registered users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
